Account & Data Deletion

At Wahy App, we are committed to protecting user privacy and providing you with full control over your personal account and synced data.

Wahy (Holy Quran) · Tafsir Center for Quranic Studies

1. In-App Account Deletion (Instant & Automatic)

You can permanently delete your account and all synchronized data directly from within the app:

  1. Open Wahy AppOpen Wahy app on your device and navigate to "Settings" from the main menu.
  2. Profile & Account SectionTap on "Account" or click on your profile name/email at the top of the settings page.
  3. Confirm Account DeletionTap "Delete Account" and confirm. Your account and all synced data will be wiped immediately from our servers.

2. Contact Help Center for Deletion Request

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your device, you can request permanent account deletion by contacting our help center:

Please send an email from your registered account email to our help center with the subject "Wahy App Account Deletion Request". Our support team will process your request and delete all associated data.

3. Data Deleted and Retention Policy

Permanently Deleted Data:

  • User name and email address
  • Unique user identifier (UID)
  • All Quran bookmarks and favorite verses
  • Reading completion plans (Khatmah)
  • Ayah notes and reflections
  • Reading history and search history

Retention Period & Safeguards:

  • In-app deletion takes effect immediately upon confirmation.
  • Help center email requests are processed within 7 business days.
  • No personal data or account identifiers are retained after deletion.
  • The Wahy app is always available for free without creating an account.
